Sealed Window & Insulated Bedroom

Day 47 I'm in the kitchen all day and Dave's been busy at the bus. He finished the insulation in the bedroom ceiling and made a window. He cut the wood to fit the window and then made a box by folding a metal sheet around the wood. Looks good and a very snug fit.

One window down, only nine more to go.

On another note, 1:00 A.M. rolls around and I'm tired, so I crawl into the back of the Dodge for a nap while Dave still works on the bus. Well, 3:00 A.M. comes round and now Dave's ready for bed also. I'm in the back moving things and Dave's loading up. A police officer comes walking up shining the light at Dave.

"Take your hands out of your pockets sir." - cop

Dave being tired and not thinking takes his hands out of his hoodie pocket and puts them right back into his pants pockets.

"Take your hands out of your pockets sir." - cop repeats himself. Oh yes of course. Dave crosses his arms.

"Are you living here?" - cop

"No sir, we're working on our school bus. This is a makers space." - Dave tells him.

"A what?" - cop

"A makers space, a workshop where people can come do projects here as a paying member." - Dave starts explaining. "Take your hands out of your pockets sir." - cop shines his light to the tiny house next to our bus. "Are you living there?" - cop asked. Dave says again, "No. That belongs to a guy named Matt. That's his project. We have a school bus." The cop shines his light to the RV next to the tiny house. "Are you living there?" - cop asks. Dave takes a breathe and explains to him again, "This is a makers space. These are peoples projects. The bus is ours, the tiny house is Matt's, the RV belongs to a girl named Sarah and so on. Several projects being done here by various people."

The cop then asks, "Is that your dog in the car?"

Dave replies, "No sir, that's my wife."

"Sorry, all I saw was hair." The cop hands Dave his driver's licence back and puts his head down. "You have a good night now." he heads back to his car and leaves.
