News Of Our Friend Passing
Day 60 The bus comes to a halt today when we learned that our dearest friend past away. It has been extremely stressful trying to get our home build, feed ourselves, put gas in the car, and having the weather getting colder has us on edge as it is and then to learn about our friend . . . our hearts weigh heavy. Our friend Carl Louis Mancill past away in his home. He was there for three days before he was found, during which that time his house was robbed while he lay there. To top it all off, his only living relative is a brother who he hadn't spoke to in 9 years who most likely won't even do a service. Just have him cremated and shipped back home. It brakes my heart. He was such a good person and helped so much and in the end he gets robbed and burned. We're really hurt over his passing. He was only 67.
I still go to work with puffy eyes and a heavy heart. Dave stays at the bus doing some progress today.
We were sharing a storage with Carl because our finances are so tight. Now with his passing we have to take on the whole bill. Plus we had a discount for the first few months at the DIYcave for our lot space rent. That 50% discount ends this month so that means even more money out. I don't mind the more money out but that leaves us nearly $100 - $200 between paydays for food, gas, bus materials, I need a winter coat and clothes, we both need shoes, and our car needs work. We also are going to need to get a heater somehow. We have no heater in our car that we sleep in and nothing in the bus. Things are going a bit down hill and it's very head to keep our spirits up.
